About the Orthodox Christian Faith?

Holy Trinity Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Christian Faith is made up of people who gather together in His Name to share a common faith and hope based on the love of God. We affirm the truth, orthodoxy, of our faith, belief, and experience in order to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all. The foundation of our Faith is both Holy Tradition: that which is passed on or given over within the Church, from the time of Jesus Christ to the present and Holy Scripture: the inspired word of God and the written record of His revelation. The Orthodox Church began in 33 A.D. on Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles. Today there are over 250 million members around the world and we are growing everyday. We believe in the Holy Trinity:Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three persons in one God. While separate and distinct, each share fully in the divine nature and will, while united together in perfect love. We have seven Sacraments: Baptism, Chrismation, Confession, Eucharist, Marriage, Ordination and Unction. These are just some of the aspects of the Orthodox Faith.

Fr. Peter Day, Priest

From all of the parishioners of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, we greet you “kali orexi” and we invite you to have your “good appetite” filled with our hospitality. We hope you will enjoy the offerings of Greek culture that we have prepared for you: the food, the music, the dance, and the wares that are part of our heritage. But above all, we hope you will enjoy the “philoxenia,” the “love of strangers,” that our parish holds as a guiding principle of our ministry to all of God’s children. Come join us and be Greek for a day, but come and know that, through the grace of God, the Holy Trinity, we are all brothers and sisters as we enjoy the gifts of His bountiful mercy in “The Hospitality of Abraham.”

With love in Christ,
Rev. Fr. Peter A. Day, Pastor
